I just watched a video of a father yelling at his son because he was gay telling him “I don’t like you or your people,” and claiming God was against him. My heart broke. This is the rotten fruit of religion the belief that God is some harsh taskmaster who loves the “good people” and hates the “bad people.” That is not the Gospel. That is not Jesus. this is a lie from Satan himself. People who say such things are speaking Satan’s feces.
Jesus didn’t come to start a religion of rules, shame, and rejection. The Scripture says:
2 Corinthians 3:17 (KJV)
Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
Not bondage.
Not fear.
Not condemnation.
Liberty. Freedom. Grace.
The Good News is simple:
Jesus loved us and gave Himself for us.
He died for our sins, making peace between God and us, and He rose again.
And by faith in that message, we are forgiven and saved completely.

And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.

But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered.
Romans 4:8 (KJV)
Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.
Many people condemn homosexuality and act like it’s some “special” big sin. But these people are trying to be justified by the law. The Bible says:
Galatians 2:21 (KJV)
I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.
The law was never meant to save anyone or be a rulebook for life. The law was given to show our inability to keep it.
Romans 3:20 (KJV)
By the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified… for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
Yes, Leviticus mentions homosexuality but it also condemns lying, pride, eating certain foods, and a hundred other things. The point of the law was to show we all fall short. It also shows that homosexuality is part of human nature in our fallen flesh.
But the good news:
Romans 3:28 (KJV)
Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.
God loves sinners. Jesus died for sinners, to justify us by His blood.
Romans 5:9 (KJV)
Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
Many Christians point out homosexuality like it’s the worst sin. But Romans 7 reveals that Christians who return to the law are committing spiritual adultery. If you are married to Christ but turn back to Moses, that is adultery with Moses.
Some might ask how this applies since the Church is the Bride of Christ and the law was given to men. But:

There is no male nor female… for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
So those accusations don’t stand under grace.
Under the law, yes condemnation.
Under Christ no condemnation.
If you believe the gospel and are homosexual, transgender, or lesbian, you are saved, and God is not holding your sins against you. In Christ, God sees you as a son and heir fully justified, fully accepted, fully loved.
God likes us and is pleased with us not because of anything we have done, but because of who He is and what He did for us.
This is grace.
This is freedom.
